What doesn't fit is made to fit

Paul not only restores a wide variety of things such as cars and boats in his private life. As part of our Customer Care Center, he has been responsible for ensuring that our customers' systems run smoothly for over five years now. Over the years, he has not only learned to react quickly to customer requirements, but also to keep a cool head when things get tricky. Although he has a technical background, he was considered a career changer in the service sector when he started. Starting in 1st level support as a hotline technician, the 29-year-old is now part of the Operational Service Department as an Operational Planner.

But what does an Operational Planner actually do? Our team in the service operations center always keeps an eye on resource planning and scheduling and coordinates the respective service assignments with our customers – from start to finish. What advantage does this have for our customers? They have a reliable contact person who always keeps an eye on all factors and plans the service assignments so that everything runs smoothly. When asked what special skills are needed to do this job, Paul has a clear answer: "In addition to organizational talent, multitasking and negotiating skills, a knack for crisis management, analytical thinking and stress resistance play a major role." Every day, Paul has to manage the balancing act between his own team colleagues and customers. This makes it all the more important to have a well-functioning team behind you that you can rely on. It comes in handy that he is now private friends with many of them and it's not uncommon to meet up outside of the LTW world.

LTW Intralogistics
Open communication and the opportunity for further development – in my opinion, these are the keys to success in getting the best out of employees. Because only those who are supported and given creative freedom can make the best possible contribution to joint success. And this is exactly what LTW has recognized.

But it's not just the young team that fills Paul's working life. He particularly appreciates the versatility of his job and the interaction with people. Short lines of communication and flat hierarchies also make it much easier to complete his tasks. In his more than five years at LTW, the technically minded operations planner has not only changed his area of responsibility, but has also developed personally. "More than once, LTW has given me the opportunity to develop myself further. Be it through "learning by doing" or through targeted further training. The company gives me a degree of responsibility and creative freedom that you rarely find. This not only motivates me, but also helps me to develop personally."
