Flying high

Marc has been part of our training department for four years now. Anyone who thinks of training and instruction as boring frontal teaching is completely wrong here. In addition to creating individual training packages for our customers, the 29-year-old is usually up at dizzying heights. During his training sessions, Marc not only imparts life-saving knowledge on the subject of fall protection, but also explains how to prevent malfunctions, system damage and fatal accidents when handling our systems. Sounds exciting? We think so too.

As part of the Customer Care Center, our training department is an important pillar. It is important to us that our customers get to know and understand their own system once we have handed it over. This requires competent and empathetic employees who can convey everything our customers need to know in a range of training courses. As part of the team, Marc never gets bored in his job. For him, his work has the perfect balance between office work and field assignments. In his time in the office, he puts together individual training packages that he tailors to the respective customer, but which always pursue one goal: to prevent disruptions, equipment damage and fatal accidents. During his field work, he not only provides training directly at the customer's site, but also develops rescue concepts for high-bay warehouses and advises our customers on the selection of personal protective equipment to prevent falls from height. Thanks to the close exchange with our customers, he often serves as a communication bridge to our specialist departments. Both sides benefit from this. What has Marc learned over the years? You never stop learning. He and his team regularly undergo training and receive certification from the protective equipment suppliers. This ensures that they are always up to date and at the forefront of the training and education sector.

LTW Intralogistics
In addition to the standard goodies such as employee offers and flexitime models, LTW has a lot more to offer as an employer. The great deal of creative freedom and the high degree of personal responsibility that my superiors show me have allowed me to grow personally. This makes work more fun and adds personal value.

Marc B., Rope Access Specialist & Trainer

What does Marc particularly appreciate about LTW as an employer? In addition to the numerous employee offers and the flexitime model, it is definitely the way people interact with each other. In his opinion, managers in particular place an unusually high degree of trust in LTW employees and give them a great deal of leeway in decision-making. The 29-year-old not only feels that this is appreciated, but it has also noticeably helped him develop his strengths and skills.

As a trained automation technician, Marc actually came across this job by chance. Today, he is all the happier that everything turned out the way it did. “In 2019, I still had no clear direction or goals, just a vague idea in the back of my mind. Today, in 2024, I'm a family man, have a wonderful wife, and conduct training sessions to the complete satisfaction of all participants.

I am very proud of what I have achieved. Even if it may seem as if training is easy and second nature to me, I still often had to and still have to leave my comfort zone and overcome many challenges.” Even though Marc has already spent many hours at lofty heights, there are still days when he would rather have both feet on the ground. A problem? He doesn't think so. On the one hand, the thrill remains, and on the other hand, a great respect for the height is the key to always acting in a focused and level-headed manner. Because there's one thing he's learned over the years: you should never take the height lightly. He always conveys this to his students.
